Writer, Curator, Researcher

I come from an academic background, as a doctoral candidate, tutor, and lecturer in German and Linguistics at the University of Oxford, and an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Humboldt University in Berlin. I am also a qualified and experienced CELTA tutor.

In September 2010, after an extended period of illness, I decided to  transfer my research skills to the art world, beginning with a research internship at Turner Contemporary, Margate. From May – September 2011, I held an exhibitions assistant internship at Matt Roberts ArtsMay 2011 saw my debut curatorial effort, with [ Word Incarnate ] at Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells.

Since January 2011, I have been a regular contributor to the online art journal Studio InternationalI also write catalogue essays, reviews for the DSC South Asian Literature FestivalRoves and Roams and Darling Collective, and work as a freelance writer and editor, including guest editing an issue of Art Selector, on the theme of Text in ArtAll of this, as well as various further reviews and interviews, can be read on my blog.

Since autumn 2011, I have been studying part-time for an MA in History of Art at Birkbeck, University of London.
